Day 3 - Radio Station, Fort Drum, Jrecks, Thompson Park, Uncle Sam Dinner Cruise with High School Buddy Lori and Husband Dan

Started the morning off with a visit to see my ole' pal Johnny Spezzano!  I was on the radio with him for a little bit too.  So much fun to catch up! Next, a visit with our former Mayor Jeff Graham. Jeff and my Grandfather were friends, they went way back. After leaving the Radio Station, Vaughn and I went and picked up Neely and headed to Jreck Subs on State Street for a quick and yummy lunch. A drive out past Ft. Drum was next. We couldn't see anything of the base, nor can you just drive onto the base as we did in the past. So, we continued on to Black River.  And there it is, the old Beetle Bailey's Club where some of us used to go and dance.  Truth be told? It was a hot spot to meet soldiers😆 Then, it was the Jean's Beans experience. Vaughn liked the pastry section! I got the rice pudding - I love it! Day 2 - A Visit to Jefferson Community College and Family Time

My Hometown Alma Mater, Jefferson Community College. I graduated here with honors (Phi Theta Kappa) in June of 1993. I studied Administrative Business and won the Wall Street Journal Award for Outstanding Business Student that year (out of approximately 300 students). My name still hangs here, in the business building. I surprised my husband with that, was pretty neat! Ah the theater! Spent a lot of time in here and across the way in this hallway. When I was studying sociology, I helped bring Derrick Barber King (The nephew of Martin Luther King) to the school for a special speaking engagement. It was epic! This particular building below is where, during my second year in college, I would bring my son Brooks to daycare. This was a huge addition to the school and we were the first to utilize these services. It was covered by a state grant and the daycare was gratis for me.
